Dear Family,
This week has been pretty crazy. I honestly don't know where to start. So last week I totally forgot to tell you that sister Youngberg(my companion) is a sister training leader. So that means she is a girl zone leader basically. haha she is pretty awesome. It is a great opportunity for me because I get to go with her to all these leadership meetings and it is so awesome. This last week on Thursday we went to Omaha. Since we don't have access to the news we didn't know that there was a storm coming through, so we basically drove through a tornado. I am not even joking it was the scariest thing of my life. I am only telling you this though because I am okay so there is no point in you worrying now :) anyway the meeting was awesome. All the missionaries there were like the best and it was super intimidating but I learned a lot. Being a companion with a sister training leader also means I get to go on exchanges with a lot of other sisters to see how they are doing. It is pretty cool. One of the sisters I was with in the mtc is really home sick and we are going on exchanges with them tomorrow. It will be great.
This week has been such a rollercoaster. Some days are awesome and some super discouraging. Last Tuesday was hard. We had two appointments cancel and so we decided to knock on some doors and visit less actives. Most everyone is super friendly but every once in a while you will talk to someone who really doesn't want to listen. So we knocked on this door and she basically told us she was Baptist and then slammed the door.... I just stood there on the front porch and I remembered when that guy spit on Dad on his mission and Dad just laughed, and seriously I just stood there and laughed cause that's all I could do. My companion and I laughed about it the rest of the day. There are happy moments though! We are teaching this 14 year old and he set a date for baptism! WAHOOOOO!  It was so awesome. We are also teaching these other investigators that are going well and hopefully we can get to that point with them too. Mostly we are working with less actives though, trying to build our ward and it is really working well. Our ward loves us! We are always helping with service opportunities and gaining the trust of our members. Yesterday at church we almost had to open the overflow! Granted there were a lot of visitors but still, we are getting less actives to come and it is wonderful. Right before I got to Kearney this 16 year old named Justin was baptized and some of his friends want to hear the discussions so I am super excited about that! There are some pretty awesome members in this ward. Our goal is to get as many investigators involved as possible. The Stake president of this ward said that Kearney will be very important for the second coming because many saints will be coming through here to get to Adamondiamen ( I can't spell) and the Lord is trying to build the church up as much as possible. So that's pretty sweeeeeeet :)
Anyway I hope you are all doing well!
Tori soccer sounds awesome! Good luck at tryouts tor tor I love you and will be praying for you! Sounds like the family is doing well. I pray for you all the time and I miss you all soo much. Our mission president invited us to invite all members to read from the Book of Mormon everyday so I hope that my family would commit to this with me :) I love you and please write me!
the church is true

Krissy's District Sister Missionaries

First Letter From Mission

Hello family!
So it seems like forever since i have talked to you! I sure do miss you guys a lot! I don't know if you have heard from my mission president but I am serving in a little called kearney nebraska. My companions name is Sister Youngberg. She is 20 and is from American Fork. She is super nice and this is her third transfer in Nebraska so she is also pretty new.  So Wednesday and thursday we stayed in a hotel in omaha and went to the visitor center. It was awesome. I want to serve there so bad sometime on my mission! We also gave out some book of mormons on my first day which was scary but fun. Thursday night the President gave us a letter that told us where and with whom we would be serving with and we all got split up around the entire mission (sorta sad) So then Friday morning i drove in a van for four hours to KEARNEY! haha Kearney is a very small poor town. Us and one set of elders are the only missionaries around. The people her are very poor but very nice. Some of them are very set in there was though which is really hard. Seriously like there is a different church on every corner. So on friday i got to town and my companion and I went and painter this trailer house for five hours. We do a lot of service work here. It was pretty fun except i was exhausted and hadn't eaten all day but thats okay. Saturday we studied and did weekly planning all morning then did some more service. Then we went and visited less active members. We work a lot with less actives because we need to build the ward before baptizing people basically. It is really awesome but I want to meet the challenge from the president and have a baptism every week. I got very discouraged saturday night because we went and visited investigators and less actives and they all love to visit but dont want to talk about the church. Sunday was good! We went to church obviously and the ward has 400 members but there werent even 100 people there. It is very different than at home that is for sure. Everyone here is so humble and nice though i love it. We want to start getting members involved with missionary work so hopefully i can make friends fast. So the old bishop of this ward his name was Ryan Page and I guess he did something really bad and offended a bunch of people and then left town so everyone ask me if we are related hahaha it is sorta awkward even nonmembers know who he is. So that sorta makes things hard but i just laugh about it. I taught my first official lesson last night to a man named Allen he has two kids and lives in a trailor park. While we were teaching him his cats just crolled all over me and you all know how i hate that and im pretty sure i was sitting in cat pee but whatever feel free to laugh. He is coming out of a very dark place and the spirit was very strong. It is amazing how the Lord just puts words in your mouth. We also met this old man and his wife recently passed away so I hope we can help him find joy again through the gospel. We are going to visit him again soon. Yesterday we also went to dinner with this cute member family. They have two daughters and I seriously had to try so hard not to cry because it reminded me so much of me and tori. Sometimes sundays are hard because its family day  and I really miss you guys but things are going well and I am excited to get working. I love and miss my family so much and i will try and write some letters today! We don't get a lot of computer time. I know that the next couple weeks or months in kearney are going to be hard but i promise you i am happy and i love being a missionary.
Hoorah for Israel!

First Letter From MTC

ITS PEEEEEE DAY!!!!! :)
Well hello my family! How's life going? I honestly have so much to say and so little time. First, I just want to say home much I love all your letters! I get the most letters out of all the people in my district! It is awesome! So thank you! So my district is pretty cool. There are six sisters and three elders going to Nebraska and then we also have three elders going to Alaska! I told them all how I colby served there and they are super excited! I lve my district they are all very fun. Most importantly I love my companion. Her name is Sister Courtney Dumont. She is 21 and basically just takes care of me. We are so much alike. Our personalities mix so well we just laugh like half the day. She is also very spiritual. We teach very well together. It is a lot of fun but most importantly haha she is super athletic. So we finally got our first gym time last saturday I believe and we played volleyball. It was so great to exercise i needed it so much. So sister Dumont and I were on different teams and someone set the ball like right above the net so we both went up to spike it (which technically is against the rules but of all the rules to break I think Heavenly Father is okay with this one) and we both hit the ball at the same time as hard as we could haha and we both like fell to the floor and everyone on the court stopped and went silent and then sister Dumont just was like love you andwe both just stared laughin it was awesome. She is really great and the Lord new exactly who i need to be with. Just so you know I am getting fat so no more fat jokes cause it is true hahaha Anyway the first couple nights were really hard. I don't know what my problem was. During the day i would be busy and feel the spirit and have lots of fun but then at night I would just get homesick i guess you could say and couldn't sleep. I was just really out of my comfort zone. I just needed to accept that my life is totally different and that its the Lords time not mine. In a way Krissy won't really excist for 18 months I am sister Page... sounds way stupid but its true. I am doing better and although somedays are still hard and discouraging I am learning so much. I honestly don't want to leave to MTC on the wednesday because I just don't feel ready. Our teachers are awesome though. They actually teach the teachers how to teach. So basically they are the best teachers I could have had. I love them so much. There names are sister Murphy and Sister Evans. Sister Evans acutally served in Nebraska. Which is way cool! Really though like everyone always tells us that we are so lucky becuase they are the best teachers at the MTC. It is awesome. they have taught me so much. The thing I struggle with most is listening to the spirit. I need to learn to say what the Lord wants me to say not what I want to say. I am trying really hard to learn how to teach to peoples hearts and not their minds but it is really hard. It is really easy to teach the gospel to the knowledge of investigators but teacing to their understanding and conversion is hard. BUT I am getting better at it. It is just a work in progress. As you probably already know the Lord has humbled me so I can learn to rely on Him. Anyway I love it. We teach like fake investigators. Sister Dumont and I have taught Christina and Barbara. It is really hard for me to love people when they are actresses so I always just pretent I am talking to Tori and then I can love them and I am sincre about it. Some lessons are great and some not so much but when the spirit is there I just love it. You guys know me though I am really hard on myself and I just need to realize that some things just take time :) I have also learned how important obediance is.. not that i am breaking rules just that the little things that you don't find important are and they will bring you blessings and miracles. Anyway I have seen so many friends and missionaries from Viewmont. It is so fun. I see Dani and Camrie all the time. We live in the same building so we will have short girl chats at night. I also saw the one the the Neberkers cousin and talked to him for a little. Then i went and sat down and told my fellow sisters how cute he was and all this stuff. Then I stood up to take my tray back and he was sitting right next to me.... hahhaah super embarressing but whatever. Anyway don't worry about me I am doing great. I love being a missionary. Sorry I dont' have a ton of time and so i am writing fast and probably spelling things wrong haha i dont' care. I love you all so much but more importantly Havenly Father and our Savior love you. Thanks for being to best family in the world. I miss you guys. I can't wait to hear from you soon. I will write you some letters. the Church is true!
Hoorah for Israel!!
Love, Sister Page <3
