Hello family,
This week was a great week. Sister Call and I spent 24 hours in our area. hahaha I am not ever exaggerating. We had exchanges in North Platte on Tuesday. The Sisters were struggling with getting members out with them for lessons. All Tuesday we worked really hard, but didn't see much success. The next day we were planning on going home, but the cars all got grounded because of this big snow storm. Sister Call and I prayed about what to do, we felt we needed to stay an extra day. I totally had a feeling to bring extra clothing to the exchange, but I didn’t :( Anyway, since the cars were grounded it forced the sisters to make appointments and call members to take us out. Every door we knocked with a member opened. It was so amazing. The sisters expressed to us how they know it was Heavenly Father showing them how He wants missionary work done.  So then Thursday came around and we were still in North Platte. The North Platte district wanted to have a pot luck to say goodbye to their district leader so President asked Sister Call and to attend and to make sure all missionaries were not flirting with each other... haha jokes on me I know. Anyway it went well. By the time we got back to Kearney it was Thursday night and we had to be in Omaha by 9pm. Sister Call and I road in the transfer van with a bunch of zone leaders and district leaders.... for three hours. Friday we had leadership council and it was so great. I always feel super inadequate at those things but I learn a lot. Friday night we played soccer we all these nonmember again. It was super fun.  Saturday we were able to go to North Platte for Kirsten’s baptism. She asked Sister Call and me to speak. We were also able to bring an investigator. It was a wonderful day. I am very grateful to my Heavenly Father for giving me the opportunity to attend her baptism. She is so special.
This week we are doing a missionary activity with all the youth. They will be receiving mission calls and everything. I hope we can get the youth here in Kearney to be more excited to serve missions. It truly is the best thing I have ever been blessed to do. I know this gospel is true and I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my testimony with so many people.

I love you all. Have a wonderful week :)

Krissy and Sister Vera playing soccer. Sorta...
Hello family (or probably just mom and dad cause they are the only ones who read this I am sure),
This was a pretty good week. We had to drop three investigators but other than that it went well haha Monday I made Sister Call go on a run with me after we emailed because I just needed it really bad. We went for a walk run for like 2 hours it was great. It was so cold like frostbite weather but we were fine. I loved it.
Tuesday we had exchanges I went to Hastings with one of the sisters there. They are doing well and we found two new investigators for them. Sometimes it is hard to see so many miracles on exchanges in other sister’s areas but I am learning to find joy in the success of the Sisters we are over.
Wednesday was a sad day. We had to go to Grand Island and stay with a Sister because her companion decided to go home. She was having health problems and she couldn’t handle it anymore. It is neat to see who the Lord puts people with though. Her companion is the only one who could be positive through this entire experience.
Thursday we had a wonderful lesson with this less active lady we found. Her family is all active in Arizona and she is totally going to come back! She came to church this week for the first time in forever! We were so excited! Thursday night we are teaching mission prep to youth and ysa who are preparing to serve. It is so much fun!
Friday we had a really awesome lesson with the bishop’s family. Their hearts are totally softening to missionary work! :)  It is really cool to see!
Saturday we played soccer as always and guess what?! One of the guys we pay soccer with is totally set for baptism! The elders started teaching him after we started playing soccer! I am pretty sure that is why I played soccer my whole life haha just kidding be seriously. The Veras gave me a soccer jersey from Chile it is pretty sweet!
Sunday was great. Two less actives we have been working with came to church. Also this less active family we are working with to get to the temple... he bore his testimony for the first time in his life. It was incredible. Sister Call and I also found some people while street contacting who are interested in hearing more so that’s a miracle.
Kirsten will be getting baptized this Saturday in North Platte and we hopefully will get to go. Kristen asked me to speak still so I totally count her as my baptism haha I hesitate telling you there is a baptism this week because I am pretty sure every time I do that it falls through. Sad. Anyway miracles are happening. I will be very sad the day I leave Kearney.
I found my new favorite scripture Mosiah 5:15 My goal on my mission is that I will do all that God wants from me and that Christ will "seal you his" How amazing would that be?
I love you all. Be good.

Hi family,
So I just realized I have like no time left. Sorry I had to write president a long email updated him about all the sisters.
I think the greatest thing I learned this week was how real Satan is. I see him working really hard on some of the most valiant of God's children. BUT I do know that "Righteousness is and always will be more powerful than wickedness." - President Boyd K. Packer. I am grateful for that knowledge.
I don't want that to freak you out or anything, because I am fine. I am very grateful for the experiences I have on my mission. I know I am where I am supposed to be and that I am learning what I need to learn. It sort of scares me to think about what might be in our future but I know with God all things are possible.
I love being a missionary. I know this gospel is the ONLY way to peace in this life and eternal joy in the next. I love you family. Sorry my letter is so short. I promise next weeks will be better haha I say that every week. Sorry. I love you family. Keep being amazing and read the Book of Mormon. Every day. haha

PS. no need to forward this email to people it is so lame.

Dear Family,
Ya'll forgot about me... :( sad. I am just kidding I know its Tuesday. I hope it’s a happy Tuesday for everyone! So I honestly can't even remember what happened this week. I feel like so much happens in one week that no letter can do it justice so why try ha-ha but I will because I know mom would not be pleased with me so....
Monday evening we were able to find an investigator for the sisters in the YSA branch, here in Kearney. It is good because they have a hard time finding people.
Tuesday we started our day off with visiting a less active with the bishops wife. Her name is Doris, we have been working with her for a long time and she is slowly making progress. The miracle though is the bishop’s wife is starting to get really into reactivation. At first, she did not want to go out with us at all, but now she calls us. It is really neat. We just need to get more members out with us!
Wednesday we went to Grand Island for interviews with President. I had a very nice interview with him and he only rebuked me like three times ha-ha so that was nice. He is very inspired and I respect him a lot. He asked what I would think if the members were always providing people for us to teach and I said that would be amazing. He proceeded to tell me how in that situation I wouldn't learn what I needed to learn and it wouldn't be amazing. It is so true. I have learned so much in Kearney about how God wants His work to be done. Not only that but how the Church should be run and the responsibility we all have as members.
WE also had exchanges that day with the Grand Island sisters. One of them has been really struggling. Sister Call and I are literally doing all when can to keep her out here. She is such a wonderful missionary but we all have our struggles.
Thursday we had zone training. Sister Call and I trained on obedience. We talked a lot about Elder Oaks talk called "Love and Law" I am finally understanding how crucial obedience is not just as a missionary but in life. I know that God gives us these laws so we can become like Him. Commandments all come from His pure love. It went really well. That night we turned around and drove all the way to Kansas for exchanges. Those exchanges went really well.
Friday night as we were driving back to Kearney we were desperately trying to find an investigator to come with us to Kirsten’s baptism with us so we could go. We couldn't find anyone. I was praying very hard and I just felt at peace but didn’t know why. Shortly after we got a call and found out the baptism was off. WE are heartbroken but we know we followed the spirit in waiting for Kristen to be baptized. I know God is aware of everything that is going on. It is pretty awesome.
I spoke is sacrament meeting on Preach my Gospel. You all better be using it in your family home evenings because I invited our entire ward to do so!
I love my family! Keep being amazing.

Well I will be honest this week was pretty hard... but I learned a lot! Kirsten’s baptism was all set and I was pretty excited. She then got news that she was accepted into the College in North Platte. She started school today so she had to move this last weekend. She was still planning on being baptized in Kearney and then moving Saturday evening. Sister Call and I did not feel good about it. We met with her and our ward mission leader. We all discussed what would be best and prayed about it. We felt she needed to wait and get baptized in North Platte. Sister Call and I were blessed to have one more lesson with her. We decided to share with her about how important it is to live the gospel. We shared with her Mosiah 5:12. We talked about how living the gospel is the best way to know her savior. We basically just bore our guts out to her in desperation haha the spirit was super strong though. We also showed her the Mormon message mountains to climb. It was probably the most powerful lesson I have been blessed to be a part of. The only thing we can do now is just pray that she will remember the spirit testifying to her and desire to have the spirit with her always. She is most likely getting baptized this weekend and we are trying to get permission to attend. One thing that was really cool about it though is the sisters who will now be teaching her in North Platte are under our stewardship and they have been struggling a lot. Sister Call and I have been praying to know how we can help them. I think that teaching Kirsten will really inspire them to work harder and desire that for more people. It is crazy how God totally knows what He is doing. haha :)
It is pretty crazy to think that I only have one year left on the mission... President asked us to make goals for 2014... I have really been praying to find out what God's vision is for me by the end of my mission. It is hard to know what smaller, specific goals to set to reach His vision.
After the whole experience with Kirsten Sister Call and I worked really hard trying to find and teach. We had great lessons with less actives and investigators and sadly no one came to church. I was sitting there feeling sorry for myself (haha totally pathetic) and I just kept thinking that it is never enough. I then realized that it was never enough for Christ until he died for us. People rejected Him and in the Garden He knew He needed to do God's will but even Christ asked if there was another way. I know that even though sometimes I wish there was another way... that God's way is the only way we can become like Him. I honestly don't know why I am sharing that with you but I just felt the need to. I am grateful God let me see miracles this week for instance, members willing to come out with us and we found a part member family who no one has met. Life is good. :) I love being a missionary.
I love you family. Be good and remember what is most important in life.

My Dearest Family,
I hope you all had a wonderful week! I can't believe it is 2014. Weird.
So this week was pretty much crazy. For the past couple of months we have been teaching this family from Columbia. They are so stinking cute, BUT they had some stupid people tell them all this anti stuff. I seriously am so sick of that but anyway... they stopped listening to us. Last Monday their daughter went into the hospital because of her appendix was going to rupture. By a miracle we found her in the hospital and were able to get her a priesthood blessing. I know that helped soften their hearts. It was so amazing. Tuesday I went and saw Betty and gave her Christmas present to her. She really loved it. She said she is not giving up on being baptized. It was really good to hear that. Wednesday I gave training in District meeting and I was so blessed. Heavenly Father helped me out a lot. We ended up going on two exchanges this last week. They both were so amazing. We went with the Spanish sisters and I was a little worried because I brought one of them into my area. She has been out a lot longer than me and I was supposed to help her and be an example to her. I said a lot of prayers that day. I just expressed to her my love for her and helped her set some goals. Heavenly Father helped me out a lot to know what she needed to hear. Every day this week we taught Kirsten because she is getting baptized this week. I hope so bad that I don't get transferred on Friday. She is doing so amazing. The ward is so against missionary work right now because of some bad experiences. Kirsten went up and bore her testimony all on her own. It was so powerful because she was found through a member and she is getting baptized. It was probably the best moment on my entire mission. She did so well. The spirit was incredible. I know her testimony touched many hearts. She is trying so hard to be the person Heavenly Father wants her to be. I love her so much. She even asked me to give a talk at her baptism. I hope I am there. It was such a miracle. I know Heavenly Father answers prayers. We are so blessed when we are obedient. I know that Heavenly Father's way is always the best way. Even though we are doing His work, we won't be successful unless we do it His way. No matter how much we tract and try to find people, our success is going to be from the members because that is how Heavenly Father wants it. So family you all better be doing missionary work.   Jacob 1:19. I love you all.
